Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!

So, as you may have read already, I am going to film school at the nation's largest art university. It has been an interesting experience, but before I go into it, I want to show some of my work. This is my first photography work (one of the first projects we did):

I have quite a bit more work after this, but haven't scanned it in, plus you are most likely not interested anyway. I will fastforward to the good stuff.. Basically, what we had to do was to come up with some story and basically shoot still shots of the story as if we are storyboarding it for a movie. Here are some behind the scenes shots from this story (still untitled), it was directed by Steve Garrett, I was the lead actor:

This was one of the funnest things I have ever done. It was just amazing and the story itself came out beautiful. I intend to put up all my work on a portfolio website I am working on once the semester is over. Anyway, last week, we shot our first movie, it was incredible, there was a change of actors etc, same director, and we got a nice cinematographer.

It was shot in black and white so thats why I have an orange hazooria (which of course is anti-gurmat) but if I had a white one, it would have bleached me out. Don't worry, I put my white hazooria back on as soon as it was finished. Anyway, heres some behind the scenes shots from the motion picture (short):

Anyway, art school is interesting. Some things I am having to overcome is the fact that a lot of artists (not all) like to smoke, drink, get high and have sex. So overcoming such an environment and staying as much a gursikh as I can is a test for me. Don't get me wrong, everyone there is so great. Artists are compassionate and caring people. I know this is where I belong, but I just need to stay out of all the anti-gurmat stuff at school, which is turning out to be pretty easy, for now.

My final project this semester will be a short movie as well that I have to write, direct, and shoot. I don't think I will relate that one to Sikhi. This last one, I didn't even come up with the story, and its not really related to Sikhi except for the fact that I am wearing bana and that I use "magical" powers to defeat these racist thugs who bother me while I meditate.

Sorry this post isn't too Sikhi related, but I hope its still interesting.
